Hi, I’m Linzi.
I believe there is something powerful about being genuinely heard, understood and accepted for who you are. My role isn’t to give you advice or tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you with empathy, warmth and respect as you explore whatever feels important to you.
My approach is grounded in the person-centred belief that you are the expert in your own experience. I won’t make assumptions about what you need or try to fit you into a particular way of thinking. Instead, we can work together to make sense of your experiences, understand what may be affecting you and explore what might help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a BA (Hons) degree in Social Policy. My training and experience have given me a particular appreciation of how our personal experiences, relationships and wider social circumstances can shape the way we see ourselves and experience the world.
I am also currently completing a Level 5 Certificate in Working with Young People, developing my specialist practice with young people aged 11–25. This additional training reflects my commitment to developing a safe, thoughtful and well-informed approach to working with younger clients.
I am based in the Somerset/Dorset area and offer counselling online. I am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work within its ethical framework. I am also fully insured.
